Description of 5 Day St Patrick’s Guided Tour

Day 1: Arrival Day Dublin 

Arrive in Dublin’s fair city with a check- in to our downtown accommodation.

Guinness Storehouse Tour and Visitor Experience Guinness Storehouse is one of Ireland’s most symbolic and sought-after visitor destinations. 

Visit Includes:

Tonight in Dublin, dinner and hit the Ceili sessions in Dublin Pubs

Day 2: Cliffs of Moher – Doolin – Clonmacnoise

Travel to the amazing west of Ireland. This is a whistle stop trip and return to Dublin for Eve of St Patrick’s festivities.

Includes:

  • Cliffs of Moher day tour from Dublin taking in the Cliffs of Moher
  • Doolin village, limestone Burren region
  • Bunratty Castle (for photos)

Note: Your departure from Dublin is at 07:30 and returns around 20:00.

Return to Dublin, freshen up and a fine dinner in Dublin’s Iconic Murray’s bar

Enjoy an evening at leisure with friends old and new. Discover the delights of our capital’s temple Bar with lively Trad Session 

Day 3: Trim Castle – Hill of Tara & Slane – Newgrange

Travel to see and explore Ireland’s Ancient East. This is leisurely drive through Ireland’s Royal County – Meath full of ancient wonder and surprise. Newgrange Ireland’s temple of light a UNESCO World Heritage Site over 5,400 years old way older than the pyramids. The Hill of Tara Ireland’s ancient capitol where High Kings where crowned, the Hill of Slane where St Patrick lit the Paschal Fires challenging the Druids and High King. See and wonder at the majestic Trim Castle ancient Norman Irish Citadel and walk the storied River Boyne where two kings fought for a crown and pay a visit to the Oldbridge Battle of Boyne Site.  Return that evening to Dublin for Eve of St Patrick’s festivities – The Festival of Light.

Day 4: St Patrick’s Day – Festival 

The only national festival celebrated the world over! Your morning is free for you to relax and explore. 

Includes:

  • At 10:30 you go to O’Connell bridge to take our places at the world’s biggest non-military parade and festival and watch it proceed past us with over 250,000 participants! 
  • The parade continues until approximately 3pm where we have time to mingle with the crowds or join in with the locals for some fun and banter on our great national day.
  • At 17:00, a tasty Drink in Dublin City Centre Sweetman’s Bar
  • In the evening the monster Open Air Ceili (traditional Irish dancing) on Merrion Square or the many other activities we have laid out for you our valued guests.
  • Afterwards, we enjoy a celebration of human happiness in the famed Temple Bar area before we head back to the Hotel.

Day 5: Glendalough – Wicklow

We enjoy our final day of exploring Ireland with a half day touring the beautiful Wicklow Mountains. 

Highlights:

  • Glendalough is the monastic citadel of St. Kevin set in the majestic Wicklow mountains.
  • Mountain drive across beautiful spectacular Sally gap
  • Choose to depart @ 08:00 and return @ 13:00 or you could also choose to sleep a little longer and enjoy the afternoon departure @ 13:30 which returns @ 17:00 – 17:30.
  • A last evening in Dublin, make the most of it!
