From there you drive through Europes richest pastures and into storied Medieval Kilkenny and Dublin, the home of knights of old who built this kingdom come. Today you will travel west, so start early with Breakfast
Embark for a cruise on Lough Corrib to enjoy the scenery and sip an Irish coffee while enjoying an Irish dancing demonstration. Drive through scenic Connemara. At Kylemore Abbey, visit elegant rooms and the charming lakeside church. Alternatively, you may prefer to take the ferry to the Aran Islands. Aran will take you back to an Ireland of Celts and Early Christians. Take a pony and trap, Bus or Bike guided tour from the pier up the island to the stone fort of Dun Aengus.
Enjoy lunch and more views of Connemara before returning to Galway, where the evening is free to explore.
Today is going to be special! Travel through the fabulous Burren and on through the village of Doolin which is world-famous for its traditional Irish music. One of the highlights of your trip will be your next stop to one of Ireland’s best-known attractions, the Cliffs of Moher, voted one of Ireland’s top visitor attractions and is a designated UNESCO Geo Park. From the Cliffs the Aran Islands can be seen as well as the Twelve Pins and Maum Turk Mountains. After soaking up the views travel onward to Bunratty Castle, built in 1425, this grandiose castle was renovated in 1954 to its prior medieval splendour. Within the grounds of the Castle Bunratty Folk Park you will find 19th century Irish life recreated. Enjoy an overnight stay in the town of Ennis in Co. Clare.
Enjoy some morning leisure time around Ennis town, dating back to the 11th century, Ennis has an array of narrow streets and quaint shops.
Then its back on your travels with a trip across the River Shannon Estuary on a short ferry and drive along the shore to Foyne’s to visit the Foyne’s Flying Boat & Maritime Museum. Stopping in the town of Adare is always a popular option for somewhere to have lunch. From Adare, the town of Killarney is approximately one more hour by car. You will arrive in plenty of time to enjoy a Tour through Killarney National park and visit Ross Castle.
Get ready for a fabulous day of scenic views on the Ring of Kerry, the 100 mile winding coastal drive consists of beautiful beaches and Cliffs and iconic landscapes. If you are a Star Wars fan why not visit the famous Skellig Michael where Star Wars VII was filmed. Pause for a stroll around Sneem, with its brightly painted houses, and at Moll’s Gap for panoramic views of Ireland’s highest mountains and deep valleys.
Enjoy another evening in Killarney to sample the local pubs and eateries.
Drive along the south coast of Ireland, about miles, towards Cobh Co. Cork. You may like to stop in Cobh, Cork, or Blarney for some local sightseeing in Blarney Woollen Mills. Choose from a selection of visitor experiences such as Jameson Experience, Cobh Heritage Centre, Titanic Experience Cobh, and Blarney Castle. Then onwards to Waterford City for an overnight stay. In the evening choose from one of the many pubs and restaurants Waterford has to offer.
A fun packed day awaits with a trip to the famous House of Waterford Crystal. You then continue to Ireland’s ‘Medieval Capital’ Kilkenny where you will get to explore the famous 12th Century Kilkenny Castle. Enjoy a private bike tour along Kilkenny’s ‘Medieval Mile’ with a huge selection of attractions and locations to visit such as St. Canice’s Cathedral, Smithwick’s Brewery, That evening, enjoy a night of live traditional Irish music & song in one of Kilkenny’s popular Irish bars.
Early morning start, then back towards Dublin with a trip to Glendalough & Wicklow mountains
Arrive back in Dublin City that afternoon to be greeted at your accommodation by a private guide who will take you on a spectacular guided walking tour of Dublin City visiting the likes of Trinity College & the famous ‘Book of Kells. Enjoy a ‘farewell meal’ in one of Dublin City’s best restaurants.
